It has been confirmed that Alex Hales will take Jonny Bairstow’s spot at this year’s World Cup

Because of Jason Roy's poor performance and Jonny Bairstow's recent leg injury, the English opener is expected to make a comeback to the T20I team. Before failing a recreational drug test in the build-up to the 2019 ODI World Cup, Hales was an essential component of the white-ball setup. Eoin Morgan described the incident as an entire ‘breach of trust’ and Hales was fired from the England setup. However, the 33-year-old continued to demonstrate his talent in T20 competitions all over the globe. He will now also be part of the team flying to Pakistan for IT20 encounter and the three-match series against the tournament hosts.
